Blue Ridge 2003

September 4 – 23, 2002

This was the first annual Canadian – American tour set up by HOG. We had some 475+ registered riders for this great event. We decided to ride up a nice but direct route and ride back the long way!!

The ride up consisted of Lance, Johnny, Carlton and Annette making the journey to St. Louis where we stay the night and pick up Sandra and Sue and connect up with Bob and Dawn. From St. Louis we head to Niagara Falls to see the sites and then on into Toronto for the tour registration and start point.

The Tour took us up and over east into Canada to Pembroke for the nights and then over through Ottawa, Montreal and into Sherbrooke. We headed out of Canada down into New Hampshire and over through Vermont and into Plattsburgh, NY where the tour ended.

For the long ride home we headed south to connect up to the Skyline Drive and then down the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in Fontana Village for 2 nights in order to give us time for the Dragons Tail at Deals Gap and the Cherohala Skyway!

From the Smoky Mountains we headed home down the Natchez Trace, what a ride!!

All in all we did 5900 miles in 19 days for most of them 20 days for Sandra and Lance

It was a great time and looking forward to many more in the future.

See the links below for some more details and of course the photo albums!
