Today we took highway 299 through mountains and forest up and down hills and
twisted turns to Redding. Every where we have been is fantastic. It's like traveling in a painting with each place just as beautiful as the one before. The day started cold with leathers on. By
the time we reached Redding Harley-Davidson for our ice-cream social, we were peeling off layers. We ended the journey on Shasta Dam where we were thrown a big party in HOG style on top of the dam itself.
The dam has never before in 50 years been closed to the public for a private party. Way to go HOG! We had a delicious catered dinner, a marching band, and then a live rock n roll band to wrap things up.
Great way to end the trip with all of our new found friends! We followed the dinner with a toast at Chevy's to Bob and Dawn's engagement, our marriage, and our new friendships. We stayed at the
Doubletree in Redding. See y'all next time!
