We slept until about 8:00 am!!! Had breakfast at Shoney's. It's sunny! It's warm!! We hit Seneca Trail. Beautiful, curvy roads,
hills. Droop Mountain, 3,060 foot elevation, 1863 Civil War area. We rode on to 39, tree covered roads, nice curves, George Washington National Forest. Lunch is at Mill Creek Café in Goshen,
Virginia. Awesome southern fried chicken, blueberry and apple pies!! Warm, sunny, perfect weather, mid 70s. 3:50 pm, we entered Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 47 in Buena Vista,
Virginia. Beautiful streams, James River, overlooks, easy curves, 45 mph. Dinner at Wendy's at 7:00 pm in Roanoke, Virginia. 81 degrees. Back on Blue Ridge Parkway. Cool store at Meadows of
Dan. Produce store and tons of different items for sale, like Indian rugs. Also a restaurant, but we continued on to Fancy Gap to stay at Mountain Top motel for $37/night. Our "family room" had
3 beds and 1-1/2 baths. Bob and Dawns had 2 beds, 1 bath. We saw 9 deer total, took great photos of one. It's now 10:00 pm. We're taking photos of us and the full moon in front of the
motel.
